Slightly More Professional Stuff

These images have been created in the past 4 years. Most of them come from my A-level photography course, for which I got an A* in (but more bragging about that later). I’ve separated these images into their own category because they’re slightly more serious than my other stuff. When I say “more serious”, all i really mean is that they mostly lack the trademark ‘leodrules’ humour that’s so prevalent in my creations. However I think the classic ‘leodrules’ visual style still permeates through his work. Oops, I often go into third person when I’m being pretentious xoxo apologies.

Memory.

This was the project that secured me that A*, don’t know if I’ve mentioned that yet (only dropped 2 marks out of 120) (just saying, not tryna brag or anything). Anyway, I digress, this project focused on trying to visually represent how we experience memory and the intangible nature of remembering.

These first few pictures are inspired by an article. This article was written by a man who had early on set dementia and had been taking a shower in his bathroom, and suddenly was lost. He had forgotten where he was, and he was trapped in an unfamiliar, locked room. When I actually showed these, I printed the same image on the tracing paper and lay it over the pictures in an ever so slightly different position. They looked great.

Geometrical balance

These were from another project. I was looking at geometrical shapes and rearranging these angles to create new forms. A lot of focus was put on finding what balances composition in terms of shape, space and colour.

etc.

These are just other miscellaneous images i’ve created :)
